The Day of the Lord

We composed and produced the original score for The Day of the Lord (Menéndez: El día del Señor), the 2020 Netflix Original horror feature directed by Santiago Alvarado Ilarri. The film follows a retired priest haunted by his past who is drawn back into an exorcism when a friend asks him to help his possessed daughter.

The score was composed by Néstor Romero Clemente and produced by LightJar, creating a dark and atmospheric musical language to accompany the film's themes of faith, guilt, possession and psychological terror. The music was developed to heighten the tension and supernatural elements of the story while supporting the film's intimate and claustrophobic setting.
